Product Management (PRODUCT)

Roadmap / Gantt Chart

Visualise the overall project scope by managing development phases on a timeline.

  • Milestones: Visualize releases, demos, and critical events with color coding.
  • Task Period Validation: Tasks within a project cannot be set outside the project's own start and end dates. This rule is enforced during drag-and-drop operations, with invalid changes automatically rolling back.
  • Time-based Allocation: Identify resource gaps based on individual member utilization rates.

Product Backlog

Dynamically adjust priorities to ensure the team is always working on the "most important thing."

  • Estimated Points: Quantify the complexity and scale of each item. Used for measuring team velocity and calculating project progress.
  • Blocker Management: Mark factors hindering progress to facilitate resolution.
  • Drag-and-Drop Prioritization: Reorder ideas and tasks intuitively.
  • Progress Tracking: Real-time project completion updates based on task status changes.

Separation of Planning (Ideas) and Execution (Tasks)

EM-OS clearly distinguishes items based on their lifecycle phase:

  1. Ideas (Planning): Hypotheses or requests before they become a formal project. Managed in the Global Backlog (unlinked to projects) to "stock" uncertain requirements.
  2. Tasks (Execution): Specific work units linked to a project. Treated as execution assets that contribute directly to project goals and timelines.

When an idea matures and is ready for implementation, "Promoting" it to a project ensures a smooth transition to the execution phase.
